My Fruit & Nut Breakfast Bowl

Any yogi will tell ya, the more awareness you gain from your practice the more awareness you’ll have of what you put into your body.

Most mornings I’ll drink a smoothie. The other mornings rotate between some sort of fruit and nut oatmeal mix, eggs, potato/mix or possibly this go-to recipe I concocted when I “got into” yoga.

Choose at least two fruits of your likings. And then only a small amount of the nuts and “stuff” are needed. With “more awareness” I have also found that each part, together, creates something much larger than the sum of its parts. Like this favorite breakfast of ours.

2 Fruits 2 Choose-
Some favorites of mine:
strawberries and bananas
strawberries and kiwi
kiwi and blueberries
blueberries and banana
(1/2 a banana, 1/2 kiwi, and some blueberries were used the day I took this picture. Amounts for one serving.)

Add a small amount of your favorite nuts. Using a teaspoon utensil I’ll add:
chopped walnuts
unroasted unsalted sunflower seeds
slivered almonds
dried cranberries &/or raisins

Mix the above ingredients with a teaspoon of yogurt. Vanilla or a fruit flavored yogurt seems best. Lately, I have been using a dairy free yogurt.

Sprinkle some shredded coconut for the finishing touch! Top with a gluten free granola if you have it. Just fine without it!

Fresh, raw goodness!
